Riding around Gilli Trawangan, a small island off Lombok, I came across some old concrete structures, which looked to be some sort of unfinished housing project, slowly rotting away in the jungle. I thought it’d be a good place to paint.
With no access to spray paint though, I had to improvise. I managed to paint a few things on the abandoned walls with a concoction of sea water, sunscreen and cheap acrylics. Local police caught wind of me being there, luckily they seemed to like what they saw and only issued me with a smile and a hesitant nod of acknowledgement.
